Common questions
What is Skinreo?
Skinreo is a skincare journal for iPhone, bringing photo check-ins, morning and evening routines, ingredient explanations and a product shelf together. The public App Store release is coming soon.
How does the AI skin scan work?
You review a selfie and confirm before sending it through Skinreo to OpenAI. The result contains five appearance estimates: blemishes, redness, dryness appearance, texture and lines, plus an overall appearance score. These describe visible cues, not a medical assessment. Higher dryness-appearance scores mean fewer visible dry patches or flakes.
Lighting, angle, expression, makeup, skin tone and camera processing can affect estimates. A change in a score does not explain why your skin looks different.
Can I organize my own skincare routine?
Yes. Use your self-reported profile and goals as a starting point, review suggestions, and edit your morning and evening steps and product notes. Daily checkmarks help you keep track of completed steps.
How does the ingredient checker work?
Photograph or paste the full ingredient list to get an explanation of ingredient roles and relevant considerations. You can also look for a product using a barcode or product search. If catalog ingredients are missing, use the actual label.
A label does not disclose the complete formulation. The checker cannot test a product, predict your individual reaction, certify safety or guarantee that a product suits your skin.
Can Skinreo tell me which product caused a change?
No. Your journal helps you revisit photos, scores and habits, but it cannot establish the cause of a change or prove that a product works. Comparable photos add context; they do not turn estimates into clinical measurements.
How much will Skinreo cost?
Launch pricing and any trial terms will be confirmed with the App Store release. Joining the launch notification list is free and does not start a subscription.
Are my photos and skin data private?
Saved journal photos stay on the device where you save them. When you request a scan, the selected photo is sent through Skinreo to OpenAI for analysis. Saved scores are stored in your account. You can delete saved scans or export your local photos using a password-protected transfer file. Our Privacy Policy explains processing and retention in more detail.
Is Skinreo available on iPhone and Android?
The dedicated iPhone app is being prepared for its public App Store release. There is no public browser app or Android release available. Join the launch list to hear when the iPhone app is ready.
